PTH24V heater, manufactured by Bunker Seguridad is an indispensable accessory in areas where humidity level is high or in areas with high water condensation risk. It is used to prevent condensation which can appear on TAKEX IR photo beams’ spherical lenses, OPTEX photoelectric beams or photo beams by any other manufacturer. It is used as well to prevent condensation and fogging which are produced on the vandal resistant polycarbonate profiles of the perimeter beam tower. It is recommended to install it along with PTS thermostat which acts as a switch by allowing the electrical power to flow towards the heater or heaters (PTH24) once the temperature reaches approx. 4ºC. PTH24 should be installed just under the infrared photo beam, located on the bottom of the perimeter security beam tower. If more than one PTH24 is used inside the IR tower, they should be installed under each photo beam’s Tx and/or Rx by starting with the detector on the bottom (less PTH24 than transmitters and/or receivers in the beam tower) and leaving, if necessary, the upper part detector without PTH24. The reason is that hot air tends to go upwards which means that this last photoelectric beam is supposed to get heat from PTH24 heaters, located on the bottom side. It is recommended to add inside the perimeter tower either FAN12 fans (12V) by Bunker Seguridad or FAN24 fans (24V), also by Bunker: these complement PTH24V in areas with higher risk of condensation and lower temperatures. PTH24V consumption: 12V/24V or 12V double power, 250/250/500mA. Bunker Seguridad recommends at least one PTH24V heater per each transmitter and receiver installed in an infrared photo beam.
